Travis lived in Washington D.C. for a time and wrote this song while riding the subway daily. I found some deep emotion in it that helped me get into the saxophone pieces. We’ll be in D.C. the last week of July and we’ll shoot some b-roll and update this video.

John T. Williams is a film score legend.

His work shows a level of commitment and attention to detail reminiscent of the classical and romantic masters. The film scores that he has written over the years, especially his epic score for Star Wars, have inspired a revival of symphonic music in the film industry. As he was growing up he was exposed to a lot of music because his father was a jazz musician. For college, he attended the University of California in Los Angeles. He then went into the military, which probably had an influence on some of the adventure themes in his music.

Aerosmith Tickets across the Pond

Steven Tyler now of American Idol fame announced that Aerosmith will be flying across the pond for a tour of the United Kingdom and Europe. Aerosmith Tickets can be purchased for Cocked Locked and Ready to Rock Tour. Steven Tyler who has débuted as a judge on American Idol bringing his swagger and rock style to the judges table has had to have his mouth tape shut and been bleeped a multitude of times. He was even given a mask to hold over his face so the television audience could not read his lips and pick up the vulgarities. None of the restrictions of network television will be in place as Steven Tyler joins Joe Penny and the rest of his band mates for the Aerosmith European tour. I’m still not sure why this show attracts my attention the way it does, but I have always enjoyed music.  I really don’t think America needs more idols, but it is fun to see people come from obscurity into the limelight.  The first part of the show when they are going from city to city to find talent is so entertaining to watch.  It is always amazing to see how many people think they are talented.  I’m sure people have just been too nice to really tell them how bad they are at singing.  That’s really sad to think that their relationships are so shallow that they allow a “friend” or family member to get up in front of millions of viewers and look(and sound) so ridiculous.
